Our Leadership
John has channeled all his life experiences as a photojournalist/filmmaker and transferred them into the world of corporate video production where crafting a story, branding and identity are paramount. His connection to the client, attention to detail and production value make Foundation Digital Media one of the most sought-after production companies in the region.
When John isn’t crafting stories for our clients, he can be found on the links chasing his second passion in life…golf. Carrying a reported 9 handicap, John is a passionate golfer and hopes to one day play across Scotland. HE MADE IT!
The anchor of our company is native Washingtonian, John Foundas. John created Foundation Digital Media to continue his passion for storytelling after a twenty-year career in Washington, DC network news. John spent years traveling the country covering high profile events for Fox, CNN, AP and Tribune Broadcasting. Some of the more memorable news events were the Timothy McVeigh and OJ Simpson Trials, 1996 and 2000 Presidential Campaigns and countless hurricane hunting assignments. His account of covering 96′s Hurricane Bertha in North Carolina was published in the national industry magazine HD VIDEO PRO. John also had the privilege to serve as a White House Press Photographer during the Clinton Administration (1996-1999).
None of those experiences could have prepared him for the September 11th attacks in Washington DC and NYC. John had the distinction of covering those events in both cities that somber day. He would go on to spend the next seven at “Ground Zero” and earn the Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in Photojournalism. Additionally, John has also been recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with five Emmy Award nominations, two of which resulted in bringing home the coveted statuette.
