ACEI Event Video

Being a Maryland video production company, we were recently asked by ACEI (Association for Childhood Education International) to document an international event in the Washington, DC area. The event literally brought in participants from around the globe and included keynote speakers, workshops and breakout sessions over a four day period. We had the pleasure of chatting with a lot of these education professionals and their stories we’re profound. Some came from as far away a Nepal, others from Europe and the Middle East. All unifying for one common goal. Childhood Education.

Once all the pieces were in place we were asked to not only to document the event but also to put together a highlight reel. Something to promote the event. The one caveat was that we were not going to use traditional interview soundbites or scripted voice overs as a narrative event. Every good story needs a narrative. In situations like these music and imagery together can drive a piece certainly. The use of keywords is very popular with in-bound marketing and SEO, which is why we wanted  to use this style of narrative. Quick text elements over video clips to drive home certain thoughts, action and sentiment. It keeps the story moving and also subliminally embeds the message into the viewer. We thought it was pretty effective and the results were positive. We think it generates enough interest in the the topic to make the viewer want to dig deeper.
