Custom Home Video Update 3/2/15
The project started early in the summer of 2014. The goal was to document the complete demolition and rebuilding in this Custom Home Video in Bethesda Maryland. What goes into the process, what a homeowner has to deal with and of course feature the amazing work of this builder.
We knew the challenges of this style of shoot going in and planned accordingly. We had a variety of image capturing devices from GoPros to full-blown Sony FS 700 camera rigs and a few Canon DSLR’s for good measure. The one thing you need for a Custom Home Video like this is patience.
There’s a tendency to run in 10 different directions trying to capture everything at once but that really is a recipe for disaster. Prepare, plan and execute. These types of stories more often than will tell themselves. You just need to be in the right place to capture it.
It’s almost like a virtual chess game. Trying to stay ahead of the action and anticipating where things are going and where they will be two or three steps down the line. To us that’s the essence of Custom Home Video.
This project is scheduled to be finished in in May. If you’d like more information about this project or how we can help you, please Contact Us. Stay tuned for more updates on this project and others on the Foundation Digital Media Blog!
